Following a successful season at County U15 level last year, culminating in two 8-a-side victories in regional competitions, the Hampshire Cricket Board have extended opportunities to compete at County level by entering a squad into the Liverpool Victoria National U17s Competition for the first time.
The girls, currently in winter squad training at Lord Wandsworth College, are setting their sights on 10 regional fixtures. They then hope to progress through the initial stages and compete on a national level, and from there who knows!?!?!
John Cook is the Coach and has been impressed with not only the technical ability of his squad but their commitment and confidence leading into the start of the season.
The squad aims to play some friendly fixtures against both male and female opponents before commencing their campaign on the 31st May when they travel away to Berkshire.
