RSS Enabled ChannelJoin Sir Ian Botham on his walk for Leukemia – Wednesday 14 April

A message from David Blandford, Fundraising Coordinator, Beefy's Great Forget-me-not Walk

This year Sir Ian walks again for Leukaemia Research. It is the 25th anniversary since his first walk, and Leukaemia Research’s 50th anniversary, so a special year. He will walk through 10 towns in 10 days and each day he can be joined in a park walk by the general public.

We want as many people, cricket clubs and schools as possible to "Walk with Beefy". In Hampshire Sir Ian will walk from the Winchester M&S store around the streets collecting money, and then move to a point near Mottisfont Abbey yet to be agreed. There he will collect all the members of public who have signed up at www.beefy25.com and walk a further 4 miles with them. Each person who registers will be sent full joining details nearer the time

Essentially what we need is for each player/person to register individually at a cost of £10. You will receive a t-shirt and a medal to remember the day by.

If anyone has any questions, please come to me.  Thanks for your help, let’s make this a special year and raise lots of money to stop this terrible disease.
