Hampshire Cricket Board (HCB) are pleased to confirm the continuation of the Club Improvement Fund for 2008.
The funding available to clubs has significantly increased this year due to a surplus from last year’s applications, as well as the amalgamation of the existing funding for Winter Training Grants.
By merging the two funds HCB are able to increase the financial support on offer and therefore have a greater impact on the development of junior cricket in Hampshire.
Please find below details regarding the Club Improvement Fund.
What can you use the grant for?
HCB welcomes new initiatives that help improve your club, for example:-
• Set up costs for establishing a junior section
• Initiatives that support women and girls cricket
• Coaching resources – E.g. SAQ equipment
• New machinery or funding to maintain/repair existing machinery
• Winter training costs (maximum £200.00)
The grant cannot be used for:
• Retrospective claims or projects that have already been completed
How much can you apply for?
Up to £750.00 – Focus Clubs (each time)
Up to £500.00 – Category 2 affiliated clubs (each time)
HCB reserve the right to increase or decrease the amount depending on the number of applications. We will also request estimates/receipts and may pay suppliers directly if we feel appropriate.
When can you apply?
Twice a year:-
• By Monday 31st March 2008 (Applications accepted from 7.03.08)
• By Tuesday 30th September 2008 (Applications accepted from 1.09.08)
Only one project per application will be considered. For example, a club cannot apply for a grant for winter training costs as well as funding for a new piece of machinery.
However, clubs are welcome to apply twice in one year; but priority will be given to first time applications.
