Over the last two years Hampshire Cricket Board has awarded over £65,000 to affiliated clubs in the county. The grant has been used by many clubs, to help improve playing facilities, machinery and carryout pavilion refurbishments, amongst other things.

The primary reason for establishing the fund was to help reduce HCB’s cash surplus whilst supporting clubs who were proactive in developing the game at the grassroots level. The fund has been particularly useful to clubs at a time when external funding has been hard to come by.
As envisaged, our surplus has now reduced to an acceptable level, meaning Club Improvement Fund applications will unfortunately not be accepted for 2010. As HCB are committed to supporting clubs as much as possible, this decision will be reviewed on an annual basis and clubs will be informed should the Fund be reinstated in the future.
