HCB recently held the U12 and U14 Girls District Festivals at the Rose Bowl. Both evenings went extremely well and provided them with an opportunity to put the skills they have learnt at the Development Centres throughout the winter into a game situation.

The format of both competitions was a round robin format where Winchester, North, South East and New Forest competed to become the District champions. The South East, already under 10 District champions, came out on top in both under 12 and under 14 tournaments to complete a clean sweep. Charlie Freeston, South East Coach commented afterwards " The girls have been a pleasure to work with in all age groups, their attitude and commitment has been excellent throughout and I am really pleased for them. I just hope they all go back to their clubs, carry on improving and playing the game."

In the under 14 tournament, awards were presented to Paige Elson for best batter, Jasmine Morad for best bowler and Florence Mc Mullan for best fielder.
