On Saturday 29th March The Rose Bowl hosted the 1st Under 10 Girls Inter District Festival.  The games were played in front of a large and vocal crowd of parents and supporters in the indoor school.  The 32 players invited to attend were representing each of the 4 Hampshire districts and were selected as a result of attending a nine week coaching programme in each of the districts

The festival was played as a round robin league with the South East coming out on top after their 3 games.  Charlie Freeston, Community Coach for the successful South East team said,  'I'm over the moon for the girls.  The standard of all the games was very good and testiment to the hard work they have put in over the Winter'.

The individual prizes for the best batting, bowling and fielding went to Miranda Brown (batting, SE), Becky Barnett (bowling, Winchester) and Chrissie Hughes (fielding, NF) the prizes were cricketing items signed by England Ladies Captain Charlotte Edwards.

The girls will now go and play at designated feeder clubs within their Districts,  and will have the chance to perform for their Districts again later this year at the outdoor Festival.
