Development Strategy

The funding previously received by HCB from the Cricket Foundation is now awarded through the ECB Trust.  Funding is awarded in two payments, a Fixed Fee Payment (FFP) and a Performance Related Payment (PRP).

In order to secure the funding HCB is required to carryout an Improvement Planning Process (IPP) each year.  This process involves a self assessment exercise designed to highlight strengths and weaknesses in key areas of work.  As a result of this exercise an Improvement Action Plan is agreed with the ECB which highlights priorities for HCB to work on.  Successful implementation of the Improvement Action Plan and quantitative targets results in HCB being awarded the FFP and PRP.

This process has allowed HCB to re-evaluate its Development Plan and write a 4 Year Strategy 2007 - 2011. Key partners have been involved in the writing of the plan and they have also been given the opportunity to feedback on content.

As part of IPP, HCB have also written a Facility Strategy which supports the delivery of the overall 4 Year Strategy.  The Facility Strategy aims to identify gaps in current provision and prioritise funding available to clubs.
